About SeeGreen
Why SeeGreen?
For years, I noticed how the problems affecting my community were all connected and part of a vicious cycle. Lack of access to healthy food, affordable housing, and public transportation exacerbate the financial pressures that encourage the behaviors which contribute to climate change. We ask people to curb their carbon footprint and eat healthy, but our schools don’t teach strategies for living a lifestyle that is not just environmentally sustainable, but also economically and socially viable.
Enter SeeGreen
I founded SeeGreen to generate social networks (IRL and online) that allow people to share knowledge aimed at making it easier for us to “See” a path towards living a lifestyle that builds community, reduces harm to the planet, and enhances quality of life in ways that are economically viable.
SeeGreen aims to:
- Provide education that promotes radical changes to the way we eat, purchase goods and services, and interact with one another.
- Harness the power of social interaction by building a community of people who believe it is “cool” to embrace a “triple bottom line” mindset.
Reverse economic incentives that currently influence harmful behaviors.
